Strategies for
Maximizing Contributions
By Barbara Brown, Ph.D.
Successful achievement of organization goals requires
involving all employees in the goal-setting process. Doing
so positively impacts performance, service, and morale. That's
because employees feel highly committed to do their best when they
understand the purpose of their actions. Use these strategies
to spark interest and involvement in what you are trying achieve:
- Seek employee input when developing organization
goals.
- Place goals and strategic plans on your website.
- Give employees copies of goal-related materials.
- Create a wall chart to track progress.
- Convene specific meetings to discuss progress.
- Make "goal achievement" a standing agenda item
at all meetings.
