Visionary
Leadership involves Visualizing where you want to go and how you
plan to get there. This entails first 'seeing' or creating a 'picture'
of your outcome. Then, identifying the strategies, people, and
processes that are necessary to achieve that outcome.
Use
these 10 Visionary Leadership Tips as a guide to achieving your
goals:
(1)
Identify where you want to be in the next 5 years. This is your
Vision Statement.
(2)
Review your organization's Vision Statement. If your organization
does not have a Vision Statement, identify where your organization
wants to be in the next 5 years. This is your organization's Vision
Statement.
(3)
Determine what Specific Goals you will need to accomplish in order
to make your Vision a reality.
(4)
Determine what Specific Goals your organization will need to accomplish
in order to make the organizational Vision a Reality.
(5)
Decide the Specific Strategies you will need to implement in order
to achieve your Goals.
(6)
Decide the Specific Strategies your organization will need to
implement in order to achieve its Goals.
(7)
Determine which aspects of your organization's Vision, Goals,
and Strategies might contribute to the achievement of your Vision,
Goals, and Strategies.
(8)
Decide how helping your organization achieve its goals will also
help you achieve your Goals.
(9)
Identify the Key People inside and outside your organization who
will influence or contribute to the achievement of your organization's
Goals.
(10)
Identify which of these Key People might also influence or contribute
to the achievement of your goals.
